1. Introduction
WorkingHomes believes a business should be judged not only by what it does, but by how it does it. This policy sets out how we aim to act responsibly towards our people, our clients and their crews, the partners we work with, the communities where crews stay, and the environment.
2. Our people
- fair pay and conditions that meet or exceed the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and applicable awards;
- a safe, healthy and respectful workplace;
- equal opportunity, with zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying or harassment; and
- training and development that help our team grow.
3. Clients and their crews
- safe, clean and comfortable homes, so crews are well rested and ready for work;
- clear, upfront pricing and one consolidated invoice; and
- responsive support for the life of every project.
4. Accommodation providers and suppliers
- honest, fair dealing and clear written agreements;
- paying on time, every time; and
- expecting the same high standards in return — including our Modern Slavery Policy.
5. Communities
- supporting local economies in the towns where crews stay, and using local suppliers where practical;
- being good neighbours, with clear house rules on noise, parking and waste; and
- respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work.
6. Environment
We work to reduce our environmental impact, starting with housing crews close to site. See our Environmental Policy.
7. Ethics and integrity
- zero tolerance for bribery, corruption and conflicts of interest;
- protecting the information people entrust to us — see our Confidentiality & Privacy Policy; and
- encouraging anyone to raise concerns, confident they will be heard and protected.
8. Review
We review this policy every year. Our directors are responsible for it, and we consider its principles whenever we make significant business decisions.
