Hosts Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This policy explains how WorkingHomes collects, uses and protects the personal information of property owners, landlords and managers who register their property with us or provide accommodation through us. It supplements our Confidentiality & Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

• your name, email address and phone number;
• property details — location, type, bedrooms, beds, availability, inclusions and photos;
• the rates and terms we agree with you;
• bank account details for payments, and the information we need for tax records;
• proof of ownership or authority to let the property, and insurance details; and
• records of our communications, condition reports and any issues during a stay.

3. How we use it

• to assess whether a property suits our clients' crews;
• to arrange, confirm and manage bookings, including check-in and access;
• to prepare agreements, make payments and keep financial records;
• to resolve any issues during or after a stay; and
• to meet our legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

• Clients — the property address and the contact details needed for access and emergencies. We never share your bank details or the rate agreed with you.
• Service providers — such as payment, accounting and hosting services, under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities — where required or authorised by law.

We never sell your information or share it with third parties for their marketing.

5. Security and retention

Bank details are held only in our secure accounting and payment systems, with access limited to the people who process payments. We keep payment and booking records for at least 7 years for tax purposes. If a registration does not go ahead, we delete your details after [24 months] unless you ask us to keep them on file.

6. Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your information, ask us to delete information we no longer need, or opt out of marketing at any time. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
